We can supply and apply fire rated intumescent coatings on-site. Water-based intumescent coatings work by creating a chemical reaction in the event of a fire which causes the coating to expand.
This forms an insulating layer that slows the rate the coated steel is heated and prolongs structural failure of the steel. Intumescent coatings are designed to protect the buildings main structure in the event of a fire. All Intumescent Coatings applied by ITL Painting are digitally tested with specialised equipment and a QA Report provided to the client.
